OUTBACK of BURKE 2025
Read below for a summary of the wonderful experiences of another successful ‘Capers’ with exciting adventures as well successful support of local and international projects which included purchase of an ultrasound machine for Lira Hospital, Uganda, vocational training for disadvantaged youth in South Australia, Allied Health, out of Broken Hill, and the now regular ‘Books for Bushkids’ which enables outback schools to purchase new books of their choice for their libraries.

OPAL ROCKET ESCAPADE 2024
Nine Corollas and seven support vehicles with 31 participants headed off on July 20, to Oodnadatta for another great Corolla Capers. The route includes the Flinders Ranges, Roxby Downs, Woomera, and Andamooka with a return via Coober Pedy. Great fun was again had with the mighty little cars tested on a variety of tracks especially as there had been heavy rain in the weeks before we set off. Nevertheless, a great ‘Khana’ was held on a dry mud pan near Oodnadatta.
A highlight of this trip was meeting with members of the Rotary Club of Roxby District.
Our traditional ‘Themed’ night and Auction was held at the Greek Club in Coober Pedy.
Most importantly, the funds raised this year enabled us to provide $20,500 towards the recipients chosen by the organising committee; New Hope Cambodia ($6000), Dreamin’ Foundation ($6000), Blue Tree Project Roxby Downs ($6000) and Books for Bush Kids ($2,500).
