Corolla Capers 2018

A fantastic odyssey through the Ngarkat, SA and Big Desert Wilderness reserves of Western Victoria

The Great Art Silo Trek saw 23 vehicles and 46 participants heading across bush tracks and sand dunes to visit the 7 painted silos from Coonalpyn to Rupanyup to Patchewollock. The event is an annual event of the Rotary Club of Regency Park.

Participants enjoyed the challenges of a specially designed route that would challenge the participating Toyota Corollas. The 4WD vehicles provided support along with two heavy supply vehicles and Mechanic Frank. Camping under the stars or glamping in bush resorts with plenty of tucker, the event provided a high level of engagement for adults and kids alike.

An award night in the Hopetoun Community Hotel raised an additional $2,500 plus and along with sponsorship dollars the event was again successful in raising funds for the target projects – Second Chances – programmes for families with a parent in prison and INF – supporting Green Pastures Hospital in Nepal.

The theme was “BLOKES AND SHEILAS FROM THE BUSH”
