Ridley Grove Community Garden

For a number of years now, we have supported the Ridley Grove Community Garden

With a couple of Rotarians on the Management Committee to assist with administration and hands on from members of the community, the garden is thriving. This is one of our Club’s direct links with our local community.

Those who attended the Tanunda Rotary District Conference (2018) will recall the address by Sophie Thomson in which she advocated ‘saving the world with gardening’.

“It provides exercise, relaxation, physical health and mental health. She advocates saving our neighbourhoods, communities and cities with gardening and can bring about world peace.”

This is all in line with Rotary’s core values. Please click on the following link to visit the Ridley Grove Community Garden website.

The garden is becoming a real hub in the area, with an Op-shop operating out of the church buildings and soon to be established, a Tool Library. (Borrow a tool that you need for a particular household job).
